Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity and Lakeland Veterans Center, is proud to announce the second Stars & Strides 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk, taking place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Lakeland Community College. Presented by Consumer Tire and supported by sponsors including Lakeland Community College, Streb Electric, Junkluggers, GCXC, and Second Sole, this event aims to honor and support our local veterans on Armed Forces Day. The event kicks off with an opening ceremony at 9:00 am followed by the 5K run and then the 1 Mile Walk, both winding around the scenic Lakeland Community College Campus. Following the run, attendees are invited to participate in the Veterans Resource Fair from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, in H Building on the Lakeland Community College campus. The Veterans Resource Fair has numerous local and regional organizations dedicated to assisting veterans and their families. The Veterans Resource Fair is free for everyone.
