Directed by Dr. Martin Friedman, the Lakeland Civic Theatre will present a staged reading of William Shakespeare's "King Lear" Friday, Sept. 29, and Saturday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. One of Shakespeare's most well-known tragedies, "King Lear" serves audiences with a gripping tale of power, greed and family loyalty, as the monarch attempts to divide his kingdom amongst his three daughters. Starring Mitchell Fields as King Lear. Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and veterans and $10 for Lakeland students with ID.
